Volunteer Gardening

The gardens at the Center of the City are adopted and maintained each season exclusively by volunteers.  Through partnerships with with the Ann Arbor Host Lions Club, the Green Team and the Kempf House, volunteers are recruited and organized each season to help ensure the beds at Kempf House, at Liberty Plaza, surrounding the Library Lot and along Library Lane look beautiful. Starting in 2023, through a partnership with Wild Ones, some beds are even beginning to feature native plants, a project LGC believes will continue to expand.
